Head of Accounting & Reporting - O'Neill Europe

O’Neill Europe (100 fte) is responsible for the design of the European collection, sourcing of the collection in the Far East and sales throughout Europe and Asia Pacific, partly through wholly owned subsidiaries (retail, e-commerce) and partly through distributors.

Key accountabilities

Manage the Accounting & Reporting team and processes:

• ensure timely and accurate periodical financial reporting (Europe and Asia Pacific subsidiaries)
• take care of an up to date financial administration for all O’Neill group companies 
• make sure the team (5 administration, 1 financial controller) is fully aligned on their goals and are able to thrive
• improve and organize systems (incl ERP), procedures and processes 
• compliance to (statutory) regulations such as VAT, corporate income tax, annual accounts
• take a lead role in cash flow management and credit control
• lead external audit & statutory reporting   

Knowledge & experience

• MSc/ BSc degree in business economics or comparable. A recognized accounting qualification is a plus;
• >8 years of (managing) experience in a finance role, audit experience is a plus;
• experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG or comparable
• strong accounting and financial control skills
• excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and proficient Dutch
• excellent knowledge of ERP systems and accounting systems
